Mofet Program
Meretz Australia, in partnership with the Department of Social Activism and Tikkun Olam, is excited to bring the Mofet Program to Melbourne Australia.

Mofet is a unique opportunity for the next generation of community leaders to learn skills that will help bring their vision of a brighter Jewish future into reality.
​
Learn practical skills that will empower you to repair the world and continue the Jewish tradition of values led leadership and social activism.
The Mofet program will run fortnightly for six sessions from October the 5th. The seventh and final session will take place on December the 21st, and will be attended by guests from Israel. ​
Who is Mofet for?
The Mofet program is perfect for any young Jewish leader who wants to be involved in repairing the world and being part of community activism.

Youth movement leaders looking to actualise their values in Melbourne, passionate people looking to bring their vision into reality, or young Jewish activists looking for some upskilling are all welcome in this exciting project.
What will you get out of Mofet?
At the end of Mofet you will have gained invaluable skills that carry your organisational skills from a hopeful vision to on the ground action. You will meet with community leaders who have undertaken their own Jewish activism journeys. You will be supported in developing your own actionable plans for local community action. Most importantly, you will meet your fellow future Jewish leaders as you begin to create a brighter Jewish world together.

There is also a pool of funding from the Department of Social Activism as seed money to support bringing your vision from the page into reality!
What does Mofet involve?
Participants in the Mofet program will attend 7 sessions from October to December. Each session will be facilitated by Meretz Australia and a guest speaker.
Running from 6:30 to 9:30, participants will get the chance to learn from those who have come before them, time to begin planning their own project, and most importantly a chance to share a meal with their fellow future leaders.
At the final session, we will share with visiting leaders from Israel our plans for putting our hope for the Jewish future into action!
